Dental Procedures At Nicholas Dental Care
Dental Implants • Crowns • Bridges
At our office, we work very hard to provide you, our valued patient, with the best care and treatment that dentistry has to offer. We utilize state-of-the-art procedures, instruments and techniques.
Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Nitrous Oxide Sedation (Laughing Gas) is beneficial for patients who have mild anxiety or fear. This technique creates a state of conscious sedation, which results in relaxation, comfort, and sometimes unawareness. This can be used for both children and adults. Most people are familiar with this sedation technique, and it can easily create a relaxed and comfortable environment during procedures. Prescription oral medication is available.
At Nicholas Dental Care, we understand your concerns regarding the use of metal fillings. Accordingly, at our office we have elected to offer our patients the option of using advanced, new fillings made of tooth-colored materials that contain no metal.
Dental & Restorative Implant
Dental implants are essentially permanent, attached teeth that replace, partials, bridges or dentures. A titanium implant is permanently attached to your bone and a prosthetic tooth (crown) is attached to the implant. Implants are preferred to bridges because they can improve your bite without damaging neighbouring teeth (like a bridge). Treatment can be finished in just a few visits.
Root Canal - Endodontic Therapy
Endodontic therapy, commonly called a root canal, is a way to treat damaged or infected teeth without removing them. This advanced & (contrary to popular belief) relatively comfortable procedure involves removing tissue from the interior (root canal) of the tooth, cleaning, disinfecting & sealing the tooth. Endodontic therapy is key way for Nicholas Dental Care to help preserve your natural smile, even when problems arise.
TMJ (Jaw Pain) Therapy
Commonly misdiagnosed or overlooked, subtle misalignments in the Temporomandibular joints can be a common significant source of head and neck pain. If you have frequent and severe head or neck pain, you owe it to yourself to investigate our doctor's life-changing approach to correcting these TMJ problems.
Crowns, also called caps, are natural-looking covers that fit snugly over teeth to conceal cracked, badly discolored, injured, or chipped teeth. Crowns minimize physical discomfort and provide support for damaged teeth. Ultimately, crowns can improve the overall appearance of your smile while making your teeth more resistant to injury.
Clear Orthodontics (Invisalign®)
Having straight teeth is important for both health and appearance. Get the beautiful smile you’ve always wanted—without the metal-mouth! We offer Invisalign® Clear Orthodontics, which straighten teeth without calling attention to the fact that you have braces. Rather than using wires and brackets, Invisalign® employs custom-made removable aligner trays that move teeth into place discreetly and comfortably. The aesthetic aspect is important because having a smile you love can increase your happiness and self-esteem, whether you are an adult, a teenager, or a child. If you've lost teeth from decay, injury or periodontal (gum) disease, dentures are the solution. Whether partial or full dentures, they're essential not only to your aesthetics, but also your oral health. In addition to allowing you to eat as if you never lost your teeth, dentures protect against facial sagging that would otherwise occur and give you a more aged appearance, as well as promote your natural speech. Denture maintenance, combined with a regular regiment of proper brushing, can guarantee you a comfortable, healthy mouth for the rest of your life. Please call us today to discuss the numerous available options in more detail
We can stabilize your existing dentures using the latest in implant technology, saving you time and money. Enjoy your favorite foods and smile with confidence knowing that your dentures are perfectly secure.
We understand your concerns regarding the use of mercury fillings. Accordingly, at our office we have elected to offer our patients the option of using advanced, new fillings made of tooth-colored materials that contain no metals or mercury, instead of traditional silver fillings.
Healthy Gums Lead to a Healthy Body!
Continued research has linked gum disease to diabetes, heart disease and low birth weight. In an effort to rid your teeth of the plaque and tartar that causes gum disease (gingivitis) and tooth decay, your dental care hygienist may suggest a regimen of care that requires more frequent visits.
